My son, the skeptic

So, Connor was playing with a little computer game. He happened to get a question wrong. The computer corrected him and said "this is the right answer". Connor replied in a very frustrated tone, "well, if he knows why did he ask me?" Why indeed?

St. Patrick's Day

So we have a fun tradition on St. Patrick's Day. Inevitably, we get a leprechaun or two who visit our house and play pranks on us. This year Aisling's morning milk turned green, as did Connor and Aisling's milk at dinner time. (freaky, no?!) So, of course we opted to try to catch the leprechauns. Everyone knows, if you catch a leprechaun, he has to show you where his gold is. Just don't blink or sneeze because then, according to Connor, he'll disappear.

Well, we had no leprechauns in the traps this morning, but, there was some green leprechaun money, and some gold chocolate!

Pictures of our trip to MA

So, I am not going to add much commentary, because I am tired, but here's the lowdown:
1) We visited with Al's mom and aunt
2) We spent the night at a cool hotel with an indoor water park
3) We visited my aunt and uncle, a few cousins, my cousin's ADORABLE baby, my dad, and a few others thrown in
4) We visited with Shane and Marcia (By the way: Shane and Marcia are the proud parents of another baby girl! Oceana Marie was born Friday the 7th).
5) We went home, exhausted, but happy!
Enjoy the pictures

I cannot explain how this happened. I think Marcia worked some sort of voodoo on the children.

Here's a movie for you to enjoy, of course one other favorite feature of the hotel:

Look what we found....

So, we went away for vacation and had a great time, but can't figure out how to get the pictures off our new camera. Stay tuned. However, upon our return we had Gary (our contracter) come in to take care of some black mold growing in our kitchen. Turns out we needed a new sliding door up in the playroom. However, the most exciting part of the whole thing was this:

Look closely, yes, that is a GIANT WASP'S NEST in the celing of my kitchen! Needless to say, Gary took the rest of the day off to let the nest "dry out". I proceeded to call my Orkin guy and am waiting for him to give me the all clear. Incidentally, I bet Orkin guys have a life akin to anesthesiologists. I bet they get wedding proposals on a daily basis. I know my Orkin guy rocks. Anyone who gets rid of wasps and spiders rocks in my humble opinion.

Anyway, I would suggest not coming to our house for dinner for a little while anyway. Once we get rid of our, um, guests, we'll be ready to serve again!
