Social distancing.... day 46

Thursday 

Today was a cold and rainy day. There really was not a lot going on today. I had a really hard time focusing on work today. I did as much as i could but also spent some time hanging out with Siobhan. 

Connor and Siobhan has their dance classes today. It made me laugh because they did the same class in two different rooms. The teachers voice was echoing. Such is life now i guess. 

When connor was in sixth grade his English teacher had then write letters to themselves and she wrote letters to them. She said she would mail them during their senior year. He got his letter today. 

His grade six teacher was the one who suggested he get Into the musical in grade seven. In the body of her letter she wrote “I hope you eventually joined the drama program”. I’m sure she’s not surprised at how things have gone for him! 

Funnily enough, aisling and Siobhan have had the same grade six teachers so they will also get letters. This is such a thoughtful thing. And so nice to get it now. 

Social distancing... day 46

Wednesday 

I think it’s actually day 45. I think I goofed. 

Anyway. Sam participated in yoga again today. 

He’s been pretty sore lately and I think his tumor looks larger. But he’s as happy as can be!

Mazie is just mazie. :)

Today was a long day. The weather was beautiful so we went for a walk with aisling. 

Siobhan brought the cat outside for gym class. :)

The days are so similar that it’s actually exhausting.  It all in all it was a decent day.

Tuesday 

We had trouble getting out of bed today. I didn’t do my yoga and the kids just wanted to hang in bed.

Al ended up going to the office today. They had a mobile testing event for his staff. They tested about 300 people. That’s pretty impressive. I do think the best way to stay ahead of this is to increase testing. 

It was a beautiful day today and we were able to

Take our walk. It’s been a few days! 

We continued to share Connors acceptance information. We are so excited for him! 

We also had our period packs donations picked up today! What an exciting project that was. 

We are working on waiting for I formation from my union. It sounds like they may be considering ways for us to come back into the building.  Obviously not everyone is a fan of this and it does sound dangerous. I’m waiting to hear what the union has to say about it all. 

Social distancing... day 45

Monday. Cold. Rainy. Monday. 

Seems like many people had a cranky day today. The weather was just gross. 

Siobhan had a friend helping her with her work today. 

I had a different friend who didn’t want me to go to sleep! 

Today I heard from our school committee that they might be able to ask us to come back into the building. I guess we will wait to hear from the union, but it’s unsettling. 

As a treat we tried to put cookie dough In the waffle iron. It didn’t work. 

I’m Exhausted. Off to bed. 

Social distancing... day 44

Sunday 

Sunday was an exhausting day. I didn’t even do a blog entry! 

 

It ended up being an exhausting and overwhelming day. I’m not exactly sure why. I think everything just caught up to me. 

All three kids did do an amazing job finishing up the work for their project. Aisling has been collecting feminine products for the organization “I support the girls”. This is for a Girl Scout award. She finally completed this Sunday,  with the help of Connor and Siobhan! 

Connor also made a college decision! He’s opted to go to temple University in the fall. So proud of him!

We also worked on pizza dough yesterday. It came out so good! 

We girls also did face masks. 

It was an emotional and exhausting day. The rainy cold weather did not help.

Social distancing ...day 43

Today was a busy Saturday!

We began with homemade bagels. They were amazing! Aisling and I made the dough last night. And we baked them today. 

Aisling and I also ran to the studio for dance class, which meant a trip to dunks! At dunks they had plexi glass for the staff to be behind. That was an interesting sight. 

Today we also had an extremely fun Girl Scout meeting! We did a virtual escape room. It was a blast! 

We also ate dinner outside! I was finally able to use my outdoor plates. It felt like Christmas again! 

After dinner we played some games by the fire. It was a beautiful night. 

We even set up the computer to watch Siobhans  favorite show outside. 

Aisling also found the time to organize our kitchen drawers! Thrilled about that for sure! 

All I all it was a really good day today.
