Social distancing... day 101

Wednesday. 

Another wonderful day at the lake. 

We also had Aislings dance “recital” 

While it was not what we had hoped for, it was great!! A wonderful showcase of all their hard work! 

Social distancing ... day 81

Wednesday 

Seems like I skipped Tuesday. 

Honestly, things have been rough around here. Trying to balance showing up for social justice but also not dying in a pandemic. It’s a lot. 

I did a lot of donating yesterday. Black lives matter, joe Biden, the bail fund, and any McGrath who’s running against Mitch McConnal. We’ll see. 

On Tuesday Connor has his ceremony to pick up his cap and gown. Ordinarily I’m told this is a barbecue for the students. Sadly they clearly didn’t have that. But they did have a drive through parade. It was special in its own way. I was emotional of course. 

When we got home connor and Siobhan played a game. It’s weird that Connor doesn’t have anything to do during the day! 

We did get works that in the fall he should be able to be on campus for classes. That’s so exciting and incredibly nerve wracking. 

Siobhan used her quill and Ink as well for a little project. 

On Wednesday i worked for a very long day. Lots going on to finish the school year. 

While I was at work sam attacked the chipmunks living under the umbrella. I don’t know how he’s capable of such destruction. 

Aisling and i did get a quick walk in today. 

Thankfully we went out before it down poured!

I left siobhan alone for a few minutes and came back to this. 

She’s ridiculous.

Social distancing... day 74

Wednesday. 

Did the usual yoga today. Sam was Interested again. 

As soon as he heard the camera he popped his head up. 

Sammy was also helpful with siobhans class work today 

Aisling and I took a walk after dinner, where we spotted the local beaver up close and personal! So cool to see him working to close. 

We ate dinner on the deck tonight. It was so nice out 

All in all it was a good day. 

Social distancing... day 68

Wednesday. 

Today was a pretty general day. Again lots of meetings. Dealing with a kiddo in crisis. Feels like a huge challenge since I can’t be there to help. 

Thankfully we woke up to some snuggles today. 

It was also a gorgeous day for a walk 

It was so nice out that siobhan did her dance class outside today. 

We also hung out outside tonight as played some games. Very thankful for the gorgeous weather. 

Social distancing... day 61

Wednesday; our anniversary. 

Today was our 20th anniversary. We had planned to go away for the weekend. We’ve only done that twice in 20 years. It will be a big celebration when the world opens back up. 

Here’s to year 20. Pandemic style. 

I did get a reminder this mid if that It was time for connors spring concert and senior solos. That was a sad reminder. 

Yesterday siobhan and I spent some time cleaning her room and getting it organized. She’s got so much free time on her hands now that she’s getting more and more interested in some of her projects. Today she worked on electric circuits!  

Today was nice and sunny but pretty windy outside! I ended up not going for a walk today but I did fill out six graduation cards for class of 2020 students on a list. 

We also had some delicious take out lunch today from cafe 12. I meant to take a picture but I just ate it too fast. :) 

We planned some flowers in the front of the house today, including the ones from my mayday basket from grace and emma. 

We also had a game night today. We played quiplash using zoom to share our screen with connors girl friend abby. It was a blast! 

Today was a quiet day but a nice day overall.
