Tuesday 

A day at the lake house. 

It’s been such a lovely day. It’s honestly easy to forget the turmoil going on. I hope we don’t get too forgetful and make mistakes in our judgement. 

Social distancing ... day 87

Tuesday 

Today was a mixed bag. Siobhan and I had a very rough morning. But by the evening we had been able to work it all out. It’s just been a rough few weeks. 

I didn’t take a lot of pictures today!

I didn’t end up doing yoga today because of siobhan. But I’ll go ahead and blame Sam. 

We had the gordbergs over for pizza and games by the campfire. That was lovely.

Tuesday 

Today I ended up needing to go into the office for a few hours to meet with a parent. It was an unusual experience.  

We decided to host a backyard prom for Connor. He asked abby to join him. Clearly she said yes. We will do the prom on Sunday! 

We also got another new game tonight. All in all

A pretty basic day. 

Social distancing... day 67

Tuesday 

Again a busy work day. I also had a webinar this afternoon making the day even longer. 

It was an incredibly trying day as well. Had a report of a student in crisis. It’s so hard because obviously there’s nothing I can do from here. That’s incredibly frustrating. 

Within minutes of hearing that I also learned that a co worker of mine has passed away. Not from covid that I am aware of; but who knows. That was a very emotional day. 

I made a new drink tonight. I experimented with whipped coffee. I’ll have to keep trying.  ;)

it was delicious! 

Al also finally put up his birthday gift! New lights for the deck. They are great! 

Tonight there was also a live broadcast of parts of one of our favorite musicals! It was also the music of my college days so it just brought back memories. We listened to it outside by the fire so all in all very perfect. 

Thankfully it was a great ending to what was otherwise a really terrible day 

Social Distancing .... day 60

Seems crazy to think that it’s been two months. Our last time out was Friday the 13th of March. Crazy. 

Today was Tuesday. A pretty regular Tuesday.  I don’t even think I took very many pictures today. I was feeling restless today. I did yoga but I also found an old Zumba wii game so I played that. We also walked the dogs. I needed to move around a lot today. 

The weather was great today, although a little chilly. Al tried to perfect the sourdough bread still not there yet. 

But I know he’ll figure it out. 

Social distancing ...day 51

Tuesday. 

Today was a very busy day at work today. I was non stop all day today. It was a little rough because siobhan finished her work so early. She’s been on her own a lot lately. 

Siobhan woke right up and got all of her work done before wven eating breakfast. She was just motivated to finish! 

Connor and I ate lunch outside. It was nice out. Very sunny.

 

Connor also worked on recreating some starbucks drinks from home. This one gets two thumbs up. 

We had some Mexican food for Cinquo de Mayo. 

Delicious. Especially the beverage. :)

After dinner Siobhan and I played a quick round of backgammon. 

And then She did her dance class outside! 

It was a little chilly but she enjoyed it. 

Aisling has been extremely busy with school work. She’s pushing through.

Tuesday 

We had trouble getting out of bed today. I didn’t do my yoga and the kids just wanted to hang in bed.

Al ended up going to the office today. They had a mobile testing event for his staff. They tested about 300 people. That’s pretty impressive. I do think the best way to stay ahead of this is to increase testing. 

It was a beautiful day today and we were able to

Take our walk. It’s been a few days! 

We continued to share Connors acceptance information. We are so excited for him! 

We also had our period packs donations picked up today! What an exciting project that was. 

We are working on waiting for I formation from my union. It sounds like they may be considering ways for us to come back into the building.  Obviously not everyone is a fan of this and it does sound dangerous. I’m waiting to hear what the union has to say about it all. 

Social distancing .... day 39

Tuesday.

Today was a busy work day. So busy i never got to take a walk. That’s okay though since the weather was awful! 

Today the governor decided school will not resume this year. A sad day for us all. Glad we finally have closure, but terribly sad for all of us. It feels undone. We just don’t have closure. We will see what the fall brings when that’s closer. We had the very real conversation with Connor about the fall. There a very good chance he will be home doing online work in the fall, but he still wants to start school right away. I can’t blame him. He’s ready for this change. 

We got some more pictures of wyatt today. He clearly got a haircut! He’s also enjoying the toys we dropped off for him. These pictures were nice to get. We miss him so very much. I’m glad he’s happy. 

Siobhan also enjoyed some time playing guitar hero today. :) She’s  loving the drums. It’s been a nice way to hang out together. 

My sourdough starter was ready to use tonight. I baked two loaves. They are certainly not perfect but I’m sure they’ll taste delicious. 

We’re trying to get siobhan to sleep in a cot in our room instead of our bed. 

I guess for it to work we should stop watching scary shows before bed. 

All in all a decent day. Hope everyone had a nice day. 

Social distancing.... day 32

Tuesday 

I started the day with some yoga again. Loving this new exercise and the ability to learn how to do it alone without the stress of a class. 

I had left the dogs outside for. While, which was a mistake. They discovered some mud. 

They attempted to dig up the fountain in the backyard. Sam was too muddy to go to work today. (He sleeps on my side of the bed while al is at work). 

Aisling and Siobhan worked together 

And connor found a comfortable spot to get his work done. 

One thing that all three kids have gotten Incredibly good At is creating and following their own schedules. I’m honestly imoresssd with how independent they have all been with all of their work. That’s a skill they will take with them forever. 

The weather was great today. We went for a walk with aisling while the other two had their dance classes. 

Connor was able to audit a voice class through temple today. He’s still struggling to make his final decision, which is just exasperated but this pandemic. We’re thankful for the opportunity to audit classes and the like, so he can start to make a decision.
