Social distancing graduation style
Connor finally had his graduation. (8/7/20) They waited until August hoping that the state would be in phase three so we could graduate the whole class as one unit. That continued to be the plan until a few days easier when supposedly a few parties happened leading to a hot spot of cases. Given this news the graduation was virtual. It was frustrating but the silver lining was that more people were able to participate and watch the graduation ceremony.

Social distancing.... day 78
Prom!

We threw a backyard prom for Connor and abby today. It was amazing. I was worried it would just remind them of everything they didn’t get this year but it was really a special day.
It was amazing to have a day filled with happiness and joy. We needed that.

Social distancing... day 35
TGIF

Today the girls had light amounts of work. And connor was able to go to abbys house today. (He heads over there maybe once per week now).
I learned all about feeding my sourdough. It’s fascinating!
I also took a training today on anxiety. It was very useful!
Siobha is getting more and more independent; and she made her own lunch today!
While wearing her Dino blanket of course.
I purchased a wreath for the door for connor and it arrived today.
I put his nhs cord on it as well. I just really want to celebrate him. I’m hoping we get prom and graduation but everything is so uncertain now.
Aisling and I went on our walk today! It was a little chilly.
This evening there was a quick online prom for the class of 2020. It was bittersweet because it made us thinking about actual prom and if that will happen or not. But it was so fun and adorable. Connor and Abby participated from her house. It made me a little emotional. It’s so nice to see people reaching out to support this class.
And we can say we went to his prom. Lol!
Have a great weekend everyone.
