Resolutions

It's new year's eve again, the traditional time to sit down and make resolutions to change all the things about ourselves we've been trying to change for years. I traditionally don't do this, because I tend to break them within a few minutes short time anyway, but here goes nothing. (Really, probably nothing will change)

1) I resolve to lose weight. The same weight I've lost and found for years now. I guess what I mean is, I resolve to stop running into my weight watcher's leader at Dunkin Donuts.

2) I resolve to keep my house clean. Well, okay, clean enough to at least use the futon. And dry, I resolve to keep the house dry as well. Oh, and rodent free. I resolve to not allow rodents to make a home in my pantry. I also resolve to bathe the kids at least once per week. Really.

3) I resolve to feed my children only healthy, organic, locally grown food.

4) I resolve not to make my kids wear matching pajamas.

5) I resolve not to yell at my kids.

I guess that's it. That should keep me pretty busy for the rest of the week year.

Here's a few crazy pictures, just for fun:Have a blessed mew year!

We survived!

So we actually survived Christmas, and had a lot to celebrate! My brother was able to join us, which was awesome, and my dad and Al's mom and aunt also came up. A busy, but fun, time. Enjoy the pictures!

Aisling got a Sugar Plum Fairy outfit for Christmas. After seeing the nutcracker, she simply fell in LOVE. Here's a video of her dancing to the Nutcracker. Enjoy!

And in this one she's dancing while eating a chocolate covered pretzel stick. That's my girl.

Polar Express

We went to the Polar Express yesterday. It's always such a blast, one of my most favorite things all year. The people there are just fantastic.

We had some great pictures.

Dear Santa...

The kids wrote their letters to Santa. Rather, Connor and I wrote letters! I wrote Aisling's, and Connor wrote his and Siobhan's.

Here's Aisling's:Here's Connor's letter, no time for pleasantries, as you'll notice.

Here's Siobhan's: (Thank God Connor clarified; I am really not ready for one more 'real' baby right now!

stuff and nonesense... mostly nonesense

I was upstairs today, changing into my play clothes (or, unsuccessfully changing out of my work clothes before they get covered in spit up from the human fountain we call Siobhan) when I heard the baby squealing with delight. Squealing! I was so happy to know that Aisling could make her laugh like that. Come to find out, Aisling is making her laugh by standing on the arm of the couch and jumping off onto the cushins. Yeah, real funny!

I cleaned out the fridge yesterday. You'll never guess what I found. Seriously, you will never guess. A TREE. I remember.... Connor brought home a seedling evergreen tree for arbor day. (I didn't even know we celebrated that). Well, if you put a seedling in the fridge, and wrap it with a wet paper towel, it will stay alive until you are able to plant it. However, it will not last eight months. Now you know.

I also cleaned out my car. (I don't know why I do these things...) in there I found 57 mittens. Not pairs of mittens, mittens. I also found assorted hats, and many socks. My kids leave socks everywhere. (How does that happen? Does one just feel the urge to remove a sock, but keep the shoe on?) I also found food from every single food group, but mainly the sticky, smelly, and slimy food groups. There was also stickers on every surface, as well as marker writing all over the place. In case I ever lose my car, I'll be able to identify it; it's the one with "Connor" written all over the backseat.

Thanksgiving was good. We all ate too much food as usual.... (Weight watchers? What about it?) We also got the tree up, well, 95% up. I'll add pictures later.
