Kicking off!

Our town was made eligible to participate in a summer food program, due to the had work of the food director, and to the large percentage of students receiving free and reduced lunches. This is truly an amazing program, and Milton is blessed to have the new food service person working so hard for us. (Read about the article here).

This news relates to today's long over due blog post only in that today was the kick off celebration; I took some pictures; and I haven't written a blog in a long time. I'm too darn tired for anything meaningful to flow from my mind; but I am sure you can appreciate the importance of free food to hungry children; as well as free bouncy houses to bouncy frugolis.

 Siobhan was afraid of the bounce house. 

Connor and Aisling were amazing and helped her up!

 But it's effective!

 Siobhan was also afraid of the watery bounce house obstacle course. 

But a puddle caused by those exiting the bounce house will do just as well in a pinch!

Obviously the food at a kick off event such as this was great. No chips or juice or soda! 

Burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, fantastic veggies, and milk. 

 

 We were late for facepainting, but got a sympathy rainbow. ;)

It did the trick!

This really was a fantastic event. I really love Milton; it really is a great community.
